About Planet Rhinestone Inc

Ben worked seven days a week, learning the industry from the ground up and building genuine relationships with designers and customers. Through that experience, he discovered something crucial: high-quality rhinestone materials were surprisingly hard to find consistently in Downtown Los Angeles.

That gap became our opportunity.

Ben began testing products, listening closely to customer needs, and developing rhinestone materials that checked every box. High quality, reliable, and cost-efficient. He even traveled to China to meet directly with manufacturers, ensuring we could bring his vision to life.

During those early years, Ben's hard work through Imperial Trim and Bead supported me throughout college. I spent weekends and days off working alongside him while majoring in accounting. We learned everything together from scratch. Ben focused on industry knowledge and rhinestone product development, while I worked on growing the business beyond our storefront (building our first website, opening an Etsy shop, and expanding into online sales). Whenever Ben traveled overseas, Kamelia and I ran the store to keep everything moving.

After graduation, I worked in public accounting for several years. I learned a lot, but I also realized I wanted something different. Something tangible and creative. In 2020, when COVID transformed the marketplace and pushed businesses online, Ben asked me to join him full-time.

That's when Planet Rhinestone was born.

By 2020, rhinestones had become the heart of our business, nearly 80% of what we offered. Our customers already knew us for quality and expertise. We restructured, rebranded, and focused all our energy on growing Planet Rhinestone from a Los Angeles staple into a nationwide (and increasingly global) community of creators.

Since then, we've grown from a 1,000-square-foot storefront into a 5,000-square-foot destination in Downtown Los Angeles. Today, we're proud to serve designers, crafters, dance moms, DIY creators, and artists across the country. And we're just getting started, with even bigger expansion plans on the horizon.

Planet Rhinestone is our American Dream. My brother, my sister, our team, and I work hard every day to keep it running and to ensure that anyone with a creative vision has the materials to bring it to life. One rhinestone at a time, one rhinestone at a time.
